Proprieter Paul Henriet extends a warm welcome to you!

The concept for our unique restaurant was borne from my family's desire to create a wholesome, relaxing atmosphere with the charm of a family-style home and delicious food offerings.

We began planning Dough Joe's prior to the devastating arrival of Hurricane Katrina. On the very day that Katrina hit, we had planned to sign the lease for a building that would house our new restaurant. Unfortunately, that building became damaged in the storm, which sent us out location hunting once again.

Our cozy, family-run cafe opened just before Christmas in an historic house on Jackson Avenue in Pascagoula; the only house on the block to miraculously survive without serious damage.

Little did we realize that Dough Joe's would become a haven for residents seeking refuge from the daily challenges of hurricane recovery.

Many of our regular patrons look forward to escaping the constraints of their FEMA trailers to relax in the home-like, spacious atmostphere of our restaurant. It's a place where they can make themselves at home and retreat from the traumatic situation that has become their daily reality.

After discovering the unique and delictable Kolache pastry, we knew it deserved a place as our signature menu item. If you've never tasted one, you're in for a treat! We also offer a wide variety of flavored coffees and teas, as well as a selection of gourmet pastries, home-made soups and snacks.

If you are in the Pascagoula area, we invite you to stop by, sink into the cozy sofa in our living room with a steaming hot Espresso and a delicious warm pastry, check your email via our free Wi-Fi access, enjoy our wide screen TV, or listen to satellite radio.

More than likely, one of my seven children will take your order and extend to you a southern-style welcome!
